NYC Holiday Guide

One of our favorite seasons in NYC is the holiday season! Trees and buildings are festively decorated during the winter and it is genuinely one of our favorite times ever. This month, we decided to make a holiday guide that will perhaps help you out with things to do--in case you were stuck. Happy holidays everyone! We'll see you in the new year!

Bryant Park Winter Market

One of our favorite things to do is visit Bryant Park's annual winter market. There, dozens of little shops are set up and it is so festive! Spend a day shopping, eating, and ice skating at Bryant Park! You definitely won't regret it.

Rockefeller Center
There is nothing that gets us more in the holiday spirit than Rockefeller Center. Purchase ice skating tickets, take pictures of the tree, or go shopping! There are so many things to do and it is such a classic spot.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Right across from Rockefeller Center is Saks Fifth Avenue. After you have finished ice skating or taking pictures, head on over and watch the light show that happens every 10 minutes at Saks!

Oculus
When the weather starts getting colder, Oculus starts to decorate for the holiday season! If you're looking to do a little bit of indoor shopping downtown, Oculus is a great spot!

Hudson Yards

Right now, Hudson Yards is so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Lights are everywhere and it truly makes it seem like you are walking in a winter wonderland. Definitely visit if you are looking for more luxury shops.

NYSE

While this might seem like an unusual spot to visit for some holiday spirit, trust us it's a good one. Outside the stock exchange, they have a giant Christmas tree too! While it might not be as well known as the one at Rockefeller, it is definitely worth visiting. There, you won't have to deal with large crowds (something you definitely want to try to avoid right now) and can take a bunch of pictures without having to worry about anyone photobombing you.

Zuccotti Park

While you make your way down to the Oculus or the NYSE, you could catch a glimpse of Zuccotti Park. Although many parts of the Financial District are decorated for the holidays, Zuccotti Park truly stands out amongst all of them. Just walking by, the lights from the trees will capture you attention. All the trees there are meticulously wrapped with lights and looks like a winter wonderland at night!

Fifth Avenue

While this isn't a specific place to visit, we highly suggest walking down Fifth Avenue or even Madison Avenue. Many stores have their festive window displays and lighting outside their buildings, like Cartier, Bergdorf Goodman, and Louis Vuitton. In addition, along 5th Av, there are giant light displays to see and take pictures with!

Angelina Paris NYC

Just across the street from Bryant Park, you could head over there right after walking around the Bryant Park Winter Market. With the weather being so cold, you should definitely go to Angelina to warm up with their famous, decadent hot chocolate (chocolat chaud). Having recently opened their first location in the US, it's definitely worth visiting for a warm cup of hot chocolate and while you're there, try some of their pastries!
