Barcelona Diary

Well known for their magnificent architecture, there's no doubt that you have seen many pictures of Barcelona. However, there's a lot more to Barcelona than just their architecture. Here you can eat many delicious Spanish foods and tapas, then head right along to shop at plenty of designer brands down the street.

Attractions:

La Sagrada Familia

Whether you're religious or not, La Sagrada Familia is a must visit. It is by far the most beautiful church I have ever seen, and you definitely don't want to miss it!

Passeig de Gracia

If you want to do some shopping, Passeig de Gracia is the street you should be on! There's a huge variety of stores, such as Brandy Melville and Chanel, and it definitely reminds me of SoHo!

La Roca Village

This outlet mall will cure all of your designer needs. Simply take a bus ride from Passeig de Garcia, and you'll be there in less than an hour!

Barcelona Bus Turistic (Hop on Hop off Barcelona)

These buses will take you to all of the classic spots in Barcelona! All you have to do is choose a route and wait for the bus to arrive. You can get off whenever you'd like, walk around, and whenever you're done, another bus will pick you up!

Park Guell

Park Guell has the most beautiful gardens and architecture. It is also just a couple of stops on the Hop on Hop off Bus, and is a must visit if you want a bit of a hike!

Food:

Tapas

One thing I noticed about Spain is that people there love tapas! Tapas are small, savory appetizers and you can practically find them at every restaurant. My favorite is Pan con Tomate, and it actually made me start liking tomatos!

Paella

Barcelona is famous for paella! Check out the restuarant "Artespanol, Paellas & Tapas" for yummy dishes, such as calamari with squid ink sauce and seafood paella!
